Anigiene, an agro-biotech company, was established by two Ph.D. scholars driven by a vision to spearhead exploration in bioactive carbohydrates. Our primary goal is to address current and future global nutritional needs through a commitment to research, product innovation, and empowering farmers.

At Anigiene, our research and development efforts follow a comprehensive three-pronged approach:

1. Bioactive Carbohydrates Exploration/Analysis:

We specialize in isolating and analyzing target specific conceptual bioactive carbohydrates (CBC) from diverse sources, including functional foods like edible fungi/mushrooms.

2. Development of New Varietals and Cultures:

We focus on creating new strains and cultures of edible fungi with established immunomodulatory, anti-obesity, anti-diabetic, hypolipidemic, and hypocholesterolemic effects. These innovations are intended for direct consumption and potential use in preventive healthcare and the nutraceutical industry.

We further provide premium quality heat-resistant (up to 40 °C) oyster mushroom spawn varietals to local farmers and train them to cultivate and sell mushrooms year-round with minimal investment. We have so far trained over 1000 farmers and continue to work with the local communities to inspire them with growth opportunities.

3. Downstream Value-Add:

Anigiene is committed to cultivating mushrooms using our own quality-controlled organic culture. We aim to make fortified mushroom products accessible and affordable in various forms within the food supply chain. Our range of such products include fresh and dried organic oyster mushroom, value-added mushroom powder which can be used in various food applications and Prebiotic-fortified Wheat Aata.

Our strong R&D team, boasting a combined experience of over 45 years, tirelessly innovates and develops unique formulations. Additionally, Anigiene is proud to have a distinguished advisory board comprising industry experts with a cumulative experience of over 60 years. With our robust R&D team and esteemed advisory board, we aspire to lead as a branded carbohydrates laboratory, housing a repertoire of pure cultures for the future.
